9 Steps in the production of each volume

Every activity is carried out through close cooperation among the partners, following the methodology for sharing experiences proposed by WIDE, including:

  1. preparation of a review paper on the challenges and opportunities for the successful development of the theme in developing countries;
  2. invitation for nomination of relevant experiences through WIDE, UNDP, SSC Focal Points in countries, UN agencies and other relevant networks;
  3. selection of nominated cases based on peer review;
  4. invitation of the selected nominees to produce papers on their experiences;
  5. invitation of the selected nominees who submitted the papers to present their experiences at an international workshop;
  6. convening of an international workshop to present and share good practices with invited leading scientists and policymakers from the institutions selected as well as internationally renowned experts, creating a dynamic network on the matter discussed;
  7. editing and preparation of the papers for publication;
  8. publication and distribution;
  9. integration of documented experiences into WIDE for wider dissemination within the South via the Internet.
