The Voluntary Trust Fund for South-South Cooperation (SSTF) was established within UNDP in 1996, in accordance with United Nations General Assembly resolution 50/119. Japan has been the largest contributor, followed by China, Republic of Korea and Ireland as shown in the summary chart below.
Perez-Guerrero Trust Fund The Perez-Guerrero Trust Fund for Economic and Technical Cooperation among Developing Countries was established in 1983 to provide seed monies for research and implementation of TCDC/ECDC projects among countries of the G77. Administered jointly by the UNDP and the G77, the Fund was established by the United Nations in accordance with General Assembly resolution 38/201. In 1986, the Trust Fund was named after the late Venezuelan official Manuel Perez-Guerrero. Contributions to the South-South Cooperation Trust Fund and Cost Sharing Between 1997 and 2003, about US$33.05 million was contributed and mobilized for South-South Cooperation from both developed and developing countries.
