The Special Unit for South-South Cooperation (SU/SSC) and the United Nations Volunteers Programme in Brazil (UNV) have agreed to establish a core team of virtual UN Volunteers for the maintenance and advancement of WIDE applications, in particular the WIDE (Web of Information Development) Roster Platform and the WIDE Solutions Gateway, to operate primarily in Brazil.

On the one hand SU/SSC would build its core and expanded team of collaborators based on virtual National UN Volunteers. On the other hand UNV would further promote volunteerism and strength its role in development and promotion of South-South Cooperation and knowledge sharing.
